Dear Joane Cardinal-Schubert Students, Families, and Community Members,

We hope that all of our Raven families and community members have enjoyed a lovely summer!  It is a wonderful time to connect with family and friends as well as rejuvenate prior to returning for the fall. 

Student course schedules are now visible in MyCBE. We thank all those students who came in last week to discuss class changes prior to the start of school. Another opportunity to discuss course changes with a Student Advisor is available outside the Student Support Centre (SSC) on Wednesday, September 6 from 3:30-5:00 pm. Students requiring course changes after September 6 will need to book an appointment to discuss the possibility of further alterations.

Classes begin for students on Thursday, August 31. Families are reminded of our staggered entry schedule for this day. Grade 10s attend all day, Grade 11s and 12s attend for the afternoon only. Regular timetables begin Friday, September 1. More detailed information can be found in the Back to School section of the JCS website.

As an additional treat, a Hot Dog Lunch has been organized for all students on August 31 from 12:00–1:00 pm. All students are welcome to attend, meet new friends and catch-up with old ones. 

Students driving to school are required to park in the east lot. Parking stalls are available on a first come first serve basis until September 25. After this date all vehicles will require a paid JCS parking pass. Please watch for information coming shortly through School Messenger for more information and the application process.

Calgary Transit will begin its School Express Routes service August 31st for its morning and afterschool service.  Please note the following route number changes for the 2023-24 school year, with the Copperfield service now Route 757, and New Brighton Route 758.  For more information on Calgary Transit transportation, including general information and route schedules please refer to  https://cbe.ab.ca/schools/busing-and-transportation/Pages/calgary-transit.aspx .
