Unique Pathways Information 

Unique Pathways is hosting an Information Night and you are invited! 

Date: Wednesday, Oct. 9, 2024    

Time: 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. 

Location: Career and Technology Center (CTC) at Lord Shaughnessy High School - 2336-53 Ave SW   

The goal of this event is for students and parents to meet program partners and learn details about the courses and programs Unique Pathways offers for the upcoming school year. Students can ask questions to industry experts, speak to post-secondary representatives, see course outlines and materials to discover opportunities that develop career paths and interests.

CBE Language Challenge 

The CBE Languages Department will once again be offering a course challenge opportunity for French and International Languages. All applications are due to the JCS Main Office by 3:30pm on Friday, October 11. Click here for more information.  

Information from the Student Success Centre 

Every student at JCS is enrolled in the Student Success Centre (SSC) D2L shell. Lots of valuable information will be posted there. Students are encouraged to log in and keep up to date with the available information regarding post-secondary applications, university open houses, and scholarships. Students should also review the D2L monthly calendar where various upcoming post-secondary events will be posted.

A student recruiter from various post-secondary institutions will be doing presentations for students.  This is an excellent opportunity to learn about their various programs, campus life and admission requirements.

JCS is fortunate to once again be hosting two Post-secondary Fairs in October.  Institutions from across Alberta as well as Canada will be set up in the Upper Hub to meet with students.  Parents/guardians are welcome to attend. 

In-Province Post-secondary Fair - Thursday, October 17 1:30 – 3:30pm 

Out-of-Province Post-secondary Fair - Thursday, October 24 9:00 – 10:30am 

Graduation 2025 

The Graduation date has been set: May 15, 2025, at BMO Centre. Mark your calendars!
