All in For Youth Introduction
Mr. Roberts here, I am your new Success Coach with the All in For Youth Team! I will be in the school two to three times a week, providing supports and resources for any and all students here at JCS. My role works to support students to stay engaged in their education and be successful in school while on their path to graduation. Whether you are struggling with your mental health, transportation, finances, housing, or just need someone to talk to, I am here! I am excited to connect and collaborate over the school year with you all. Go Raven's!
Cigarettes/Vaping
Students and parents/guardians are reminded that smoking and the use of e-cigarettes/vapes are not permitted anywhere within the school buildings or on school property. Section 2 of the Prevention of Youth Tobacco Act states: “No person under the age of 18 years may possess or smoke or otherwise consume tobacco products in a public place.” Violation of the smoking policy could result in community service, home suspension and/or a fine.

If a student is leaving early, parents need to give permission by email, phone or texting the student; students do not need to stop at the office if parents have made contact. Parents are not required to come into the school to pick up students.
Transportation and Parking
Calgary Transit
Calgary Transit has express buses to the school from designated communities. For JCS Express Route information, please visit the Calgary Transit School Express Routes website.

Parking Pass
Grade 12 students have priority for purchasing a JCS parking pass. An email was sent to all grade 12’s with the application. Students who submit a parking application will receive a confirmation email with further instructions. Grade 12 students who did not receive an email, can contact Linda Kowalchuk. Grade 11 and 10 students will receive an email in mid-September inviting them to apply for a parking pass.
A parking fee appearing in MyCBE is confirmation that they will receive a pass. Once the online payment is complete, they will be issued a parking pass through the Business Office. Parking fees include GST, and are as follows:
- Full Year (Sept to June) $40
- Semester One (Sept to Jan) $20
