Bike Safety

Students riding their bikes to school need to ensure that they are locking their bikes up with proper locks and preferably multiple locks to ensure the safety of the bikes.

Lifetouch Photo Proof Viewing

To view photos, visit mylifetouch.ca and choose the order by student ID number.  Photo retakes will be on October 19.

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Conferences are:

  • Thursday, October 19 from 5:00pm – 8:00pm
  • Friday, October 20 from 9:00am – 1:00pm

You can book appointments through MyCBE before Tuesday, October 17.

Parking Pass

Students parking in the student lot require a parking pass. The passes are available for pick up in the business office once the application has been submitted and fees have been paid. Beginning October 16, parking patrol will be handing out tickets to those who are parking without a pass.  Any students who did not receive an email with the pass link, can contact Linda Kowalchuk.  

Information from the Student Success Centre

Every student at JCS is enrolled in the Student Success Centre (SSC) D2L shell. Lots of valuable information will be posted there. Students are encouraged to log in and keep up to date with the available information regarding post-secondary applications, university open houses and scholarships. Students should also review the monthly calendar where various upcoming post-secondary events will be posted. 

The Student Success Centre will be doing a presentation for interested Grade 12 students regarding post-secondary on Monday, October 16 at 3:40pm in 2401S. We will be discussing post-secondary applications, various programs, scholarships and how to set up a myPass account.

JCS is fortunate to once again be hosting two Post-Secondary Fairs. 

Out of Province Post-Secondary Fair

Wednesday, October 18 from 9:00am – 10:30 am
35+ institutions from across Canada

In-Province Post-Secondary Fair

Thursday, October 19 from 1:00pm – 3:00 pm
25+ institutions from across Alberta will be in attendance.

Representatives from various institutions will be set up in the Upper Hub to speak to students (parents are also welcome to attend) about their programs and admission requirements.

Craven's menu items contain Chicken and Ground Beef Halal products.
