2025-26 Course Requests
During Raven Time (period 2) on February 20, students will receive guidance and enter their course requests into PowerSchool for the 2026-2026 school year. The portal will only be open until 4:00pm that day so it is important that all students are present for this process.
Demographic Forms
To ensure that our records are up to date for your students please log into your parent PowerSchool account and ensure that the information on record in demographics is accurate. This is essential for all students, but especially for Grade 12s as the address on file is where the High School Diploma gets mailed to from Alberta Education.
Extended Absence Forms
If you are taking your student out of school for any more than 4 days, please have your student come to the office and pick up an Extended Absence Form. These forms are to be filled out by the student and taken to each teacher to find out what work will be missed. Once it has been completed by the staff, it is taken home for the parent to review and sign off that they are aware and are supporting the absence. Please ensure that all forms get returned to the office.
2025 Greece International Trip Meetings
Our Mandatory Parent Greece trip meetings are coming up. February 20 and March 13, students will stay after school for a briefing session and parents will join the students at 7:00pm. These meetings are mandatory and all parents of students going on the Greece trip must attend.
Birthday Day
Have any extra party decorations you need to get rid of? We can help! JCS is excited to be celebrating our 2nd annual Birthday Day this year, when everyone's birthday will be celebrated on the same day! Decoration donations are greatly appreciated and can be dropped off at the main office by Friday, April 4. Thank you so much! - JCS Student Council
New Grad Information
Grade 12 students can now view their graduation fees in their MyCBE Account. These fees apply to students intending to participate in the graduation ceremony. • Rental of the BMO Centre
• Rental of the graduation gown
• Souvenir cap and tassel
• Portfolio and certificate
• Printing of the program
• 4 guest tickets per graduating student to attend the ceremony
Parents of students who are over 18 are reminded to ensure that their student has signed the consent forms permitting parents to access their fees and accounts with CBE.
Attention all graduating Grade 12s: If you would like to have your baby photo in the slideshow that will play at this year’s graduation banquet, please email a photo to jcsbabyphotos@gmail.com. Don’t forget to include the graduate’s first and last name in the email with the photo!
