Calgary Transit
Calgary Transit has requested that all bus stops surrounding the school remain clear of parked or stopped vehicles. They have noted an increase in student pickups and drop-offs at the bus stops on the south and west sides of the school, which is raising significant safety concerns. The presence of vehicles in these areas impedes buses from safely pulling up to the curb, creating hazards for students during the boarding and disembarking process. We kindly ask that parents utilize the student parking lot located on the east side of the school or arrange for drop off and pickup a block away from the school premises. Thank you for your attention to this important matter.
City of Calgary
On Wednesday, February 26 at lunch in the upper hub, JCS students will be given the opportunity to engage with representatives from the City of Calgary to discuss improvements to the bus route along 52nd street. The students in the Seton area are the primary users of this route and have been chosen for this reason. They will be able to voice their opinion, give anonymous feedback and receive resources on how to continue to engage with the project as it progresses.
