Grad Gown Sizing

Important Raven Time for grade 12 students on Thursday, October 9.  Students will be registering their graduation gown sizes with teachers at this time.  Please make sure your student attends the October 9 Raven Time.  Students who have a spare are asked to go to the lower hub to meet with Ms. Baptist and Ms. Taylor for information regarding grad gown ordering and sizing.

Helpful tip:  Ensure your student knows their height when they are ordering a graduation gown!  Please contact 2026 Graduation Planning Team (Ms. Taylor, Ms. Baptist or Ms. Lloyd) if your student requires a ‘full fit’ gown.

Dates will be rescheduled in the event of a teachers' strike.

Graduation Communication

Please be advised specific details about the Graduation Ceremony and Banquet will be released as they become available on the JCS website.

All students who are in Grade 12 are enrolled in the "Grad 2026" Brightspace/D2L shell -- it is highly recommended that students use the Brightspace Pulse app to ensure they receive notifications of updates. We also recommend students listen to in-school announcements on the PA and TVs, check the Raven Post and Instagram for more information about Grad.

Finally, starting in late March we will be sending weekly communications to parents/guardians who have registered to receive communications in CBE's School Messenger. These messages will also be posted on the JCS Graduation webpage.

Why am I not getting the Grad School Messenger Communications?

There are a few of reasons why you might not be getting the weekly graduation communications that are sent to parent email addresses:

  • Your student is over 18 and has not signed the consent form permitting communication from the school. Please ask your student to sign the consent to release information form that is available in the main office.
  • Messages are going to your spam or junk folder. Please mark them as "not spam" or move them to your inbox.
  • If you're not getting the messages to your inbox or junk email folders and your student is not 18 years old, check your email/contact information with the school to ensure that it's correct.
  • If your email address is correct in our files, check your Blocked Senders or Blocked Addresses in your email settings and remove any cbe.ab.ca email addresses.

More information and how to sign up for School Messenger is available on the CBE School Messenger Webpage.
