Nationals Skills Competition Congratulations
Congratulations to Amerrdhesh for winning silver in the Skills competition as well as the Spirit Award for reflecting the best team values in Toronto last week. Although Kate did not podium, she soared through the competition and even took time to help her competitors when they were stuck in their projects. Way to go, Ravens!
Staffing Updates
Congratulations to Assistant Principal Andrea Lloyd on her transition to Dr. Gordon Townsend, her dream school for the 2026-27 school year. We have truly appreciated her contributions here at JCS and wish her success in her future endeavours.
We are pleased to welcome Sarah Gavan as our new Assistant Principal here at JCS for next year. Sarah will be joining us from Crossing Park School and is bringing a wealth of knowledge and experience for her work as assistant principal there.
We are also pleased to welcome Rowan O’Connell to the staff as our Learning Leader for the new CSSI program here at JCS.
School Fees
All fees are due prior to the end of the school year. Please check your myCBE PowerSchool Portal and ensure that all fees are paid. Accounts may go to collection if they are left unpaid.
Account Deletion of Graduating Students
All Grade 12 students leaving the CBE will have their educbe accounts permanently deleted on August 31, 2026. Students should transfer any digital files or emails they wish to keep to personal cloud services or devices such as laptops or phones. These files and emails will not be recoverable after August 31, 2026.

Mental Health & Well-Being
As we approach the end of the school year and finish up exam period, some students may experience increased stress. Families are encouraged to support well-being by helping teens:
-Maintain consistent sleep routines
-Eat regular, balanced meals
-Limit caffeine intake
-Take regular breaks from screens
